Heartland Youth and Family Ministry

At Unity of the Heartland, our vision is “Centered in God, we create a world that works for all”. This vision statement is the foundation of all lessons and ways of being. We practice compassionate communication by opening our hearts and minds to welcome and uplift every person in our community and world.
Our mission is to have fun and draw out the wisdom and light in each one of us. Our Youth Education coaches have a variety of learning styles to encourage involvement in a safe and loving environment. As coaches, we make it a priority to equip and spiritually grow together to bless the youth and families in Unity.
Every week we practice: the power of prayer, grounding in meditation, the gift of giving, the practice of receiving, expressing our music and art talents, exploring sacred text, and standing in spiritual leadership. It is a blessing to serve in a spiritual community where the youth and families share themselves passionately, authentically and unconditionally – expressing God’s love in a world that works for all.

UniTots – Ages 0-5
The little ones are exploring their Wonderful World using Unity-based curriculum with lots of fun and play time.

UniKids – Ages 6-10
The school agers are celebrating their God Self this fall with lessons remembering our love and compassion for one another.

UniTweens – Grades 4-7
The UniTweens observe and enrich their relationship with their Higher Self and others in a nurturing and relaxed environment. We encourage the tweens to give of their time and talents in a variety of ways throughout the year.

Youth of Unity (Y.O.U.) – Grades 8-12
Y.O.U. is a safe and fun place for the high-school teens to remember their Oneness. The teens have the opportunity to lead their own Sunday classroom with curriculum provided such as The Eye of the Storm, 5 Basic Principles, The 4 Agreements or a lesson on a virtue that speaks to them.

Honor and Safety of our Kids – In honoring our commitment to safety for our kids, we are implementing a sign-out procedure for our Uni-Tots and Uni-Kids. Parents are requested to sign in and sign out your children each Sunday. The school age and younger children will remain in their classroom until a parent or guardian arrives to the classroom. We appreciate your support in keeping all our children safe.

Kid's Corner

Is it yours to do to work with our beautiful children as a Youth Ed Coach; to support them in discovering the brilliant God Lights they are? All you need is already within you. All the curriculum resources you need are provided. This is your opportunity to enhance your spiritual journey by sharing your light and your presence with our children.
